Each goal I set for the year; I break down into actionable steps that can be worked on every day. This forces you to take a deep dive into what makes up the larger goal through actionable steps l and get to it in the end, or worst-case scenario - close to it. By allocating time estimates and having a visual representation of progress and a deadline, you’ll gain more perspective and clarity as to where you are and where you need to go, rather than wandering around aimlessly hoping for the best.

How To

Starting off with the first tab/sheet, type in your end goal in the black space provided above the 2 charts on the right-hand side.

In this example, I will be entering “Create a Trading Algorithm”. Next, on the table on the left-hand side, under “Macro Goals”. Enter what makes up your end goal. Think of this as the larger/broad steps that are involved in achieving the goal. Once you’ve completed these steps, enter the START & END DATE field to set your proposed project start date and when you will be targeting to finish

Doing this will update the chart on the right to show the time lapsed until the deadline and your progress. Ideally you want your progress (BLUE) to be ahead of the deadline, (RED), but more on this later in the tutorial.

Now, scrolling down, enter in all the steps required to accomplish each macro goal. As you enter data on the top table, it will automatically populate on the tables below. Provide an estimate in hours of how long you think each task will take.
